The dorsal or ventral tentacles of a Sime that lay along the upper and underside of a Sime's forearms. The "Handling Tentacles" are strong tentacles that are used to hold the Gen's arms firmly during Kill or transfer. Can act as extra fingers and they are often the same skin colour as the arms, or a little paler if not as exposed to the sun as the arms are.
The handling tentacles are distinguished from the "lateral" tentacles which are not very strong, are much smaller, paler or pinkish in color because the skin is thinner, and which are extended only in the process of absorbing selyn.
