The affects of the death of a Gen on the nervous system on a nonjunct or disjunct Sime who is nearby.  Usually an issue only for a channel in a very sensitive condition.

From Death Shock is usually experienced as pleasure by a junct.

For a non-junct channel, it might range from mild dizziness to causing the Sime to collapse. If in close proximity then the channel may die from the shock.

Also can be written as one word:  deathshock. From: Unto Zeor, Forever, Ch 10.  'Mickland dropped into Simelan, saying, with a deadly nager, “His system wouldn't react to an attritional death shock at two inches, so we can't possibly be doing him any harm. Now answer the question." ' "Death Shock is more an issue pertaining to channels, and then only in some circumstances."

(Source:  Index card file.  House of ZeorKlyd apparently suffers deathshock with the Runzi Raider messanger he murders with a hand chop to the neck.  He didn't enjoy the killing, as death is never gentle and never quite painless.  Need makes one more sensitive to deathshock.  Can put it that Klyd "died with him."

Lortuen deathshock --- Channel's reaction to mate's death -- even from a distance.  Can feel the wound and pain --- paralysis --- treated with fosebine --- Patient gives up and wants to die --- physical paralysis, fever, chill, delirium (torn inside, feeling of roots pulled out), pain.  A Gen nager surrounding victim draws him back.  If he survives this, may die at next transfer.

Hard to focus on Branoff's voice -- stinging grief --- not noticing where Joel was taking him.  Wrenching sobs --- wanted someone to blame him for her death.
